I'm Rook!
I've currently got a small flock of 4 house pullets with my partner, and we are both completely new to raising chickens. My goal is to have the best lap friends you could ever want, and to be able to take them to a local center where I plan on running a weekly event around supporting adults "who don't get it" or feel left out when all the events aimed at adults making friends are about spending money or getting drunk.
We let our chickens free roam in the backyard every day for a few hours, keeping them inside in a space we made for them and are looking at getting appropriate chicken wear so they can explore all spaces of the house since they're now over 9 weeks old!
From the friendliest to the most currently hand shy -
there's Goldie, Sit, Chip, and Stripe. Of course, we have 30 million other nicknames or substitute names for them, I never thought I'd call a critter *Sit*! HA!
