Just a quick hello and intro! About 3 weeks ago ee brought home our first chicks - 6 buff orphingtons and I'm in love! They're so sweet. We live in upstate NY and are looking forward to our girls fully feathering so we can take them outside to play. They're a month old and full of personality!

Hello Theresa, and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.
I am also in upstate NY and have chicks that have been outside since day one. They will be 5 weeks old Thursday. You can keep your chicks outside far earlier than most will tell you. Mother chickens have been doing it that way from the beginning.
