I had posted unusual symptoms thread about my chicken. She was pooping green diarrhea initially, only took 4 steps and was lethargic with one eye partially closed and low energy not eating or drinking.
Now symptoms changed. Starting day 3-4 she was pecking, jumping and trying to nibble without me force feeding her and giving her electrolytes. She had yellow and green poop with some solid mass to it and was less tired and even fighting me to get out the cage and peck around the blueberries. Day 5 almost day 6 she all of a sudden started walking like a stagger style and with a tilted head. She is doing better if she eats and drinks. Day 6 I could really see white diarrhea instead of the clear to white part mixed into with the green. She will also lose her balance and try to compensate. She kind of acts like a fly is flying around her head sometimes. The eye that was closed now is completely open with a swollen bottom eyelid. I almost think this off balance walking is lack of proper nutrition and hydration. It is extremely hot in South Louisiana and the chickens are shaded and heat reduction measures taken.
The rest of my flock is separate and seem fine except I noticed they have some white in their poop and I thought that was normal, but was told it to be cocci. Any suggestions? I feel like I have an emergency here.

It sounds like she may be dehydrated and not getting enough to eat since she seems to have symptoms of wry neck. That is a neurological symptom, and can be from head injuries, vitamin E or thiamine deficiency, and is seen in some diseases that affect the brain such as Mareks and others. Do you know if she was vaccinated for Mareks or if she might have been injured? I would try to get her drinking well with electrolytes for a couple of days, and eating some mushy wet chicken feed and cooked egg. Tube feeding may be done 2-3 times a day if the chicken will not eat or drink. I would continue to post on this thread any updates or questions. I might have confused you earlier when you sent a pm.

She was vaccinated for Marek’s and she was not injured to my knowledge. I will research tube feeding. I syringe fed her and she was fighting. I am a bit confused, I even bought poultry cell for her water and food. She is dehydrated and the other chickens are not eating as much and I believe it is the heat. Thank you for commenting. I bought corid as well just in case.

I usually give Poultry Cell or NutriDrench orally 1 ml for every 3 pounds of weight. They get the benefits right away. Tube feeding can be done with a feeding tube and syringe for baby lambs and can be obtained from Amazon. Kaytee Exact baby bird feed works well with feeding tubes. Amazon also sells that and you can find it in pet stores. Liquids are given 15 ml (1/2 an ounce) per pound of weight 2-3 times per day if the crop is working/emptying normally. Here are some good videos and links to read about tube feeding:
