Hello everyone!
I have adopted my coworkers flock of 4 as she moved to Idaho. I have had chickens a very long time ago (over 25 years ago). She is uncertain of their breed and age. So I’m basically new at this. I have attached a pic of my girls. I’m hoping to build a good database of knowledge from you all. :)

Hello! They look like mixed breeds. It looks like the lighter reddish one in front might have a little bit of a crest and the size of her comb with the barring kind of makes me think she might have some Cream Crested Legbar in her. They are very pretty! Do any of them lay green eggs? Brown eggs could be a possibility from that cross, too. I love those patterns (I love black chickens, also, so we can't leave that girl out either.):D

It's nice to have you here! Thanks for joining and welcome to BackYard Chickens!

Hiya, and welcome to BYC! :frow

Very pretty chickens you adopted!

You can post pictures in this forum if you like others to help guess but Jen probably nailed it already. What Breed Or Gender is This?

Also, I got back into chickens after a couple of decades off too, and when I started again, I found the Learning Center was so helpful. There are many articles in there about raising poultry and always something to learn!

We're glad you're here!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
They appear to be mixed breeds. They look to be in excellent condition and quite lovely ladies. I don't think they're that old. But it's hard to say. Once they settle in and start laying you might get a better idea based on their production levels. Congratulations!
