I'm posting on behalf of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). At CDC, our mission is to keep people healthy. We know that many people have and love their backyard chickens; in fact, many staff at CDC have backyard chickens. We also know that backyard chickens can carry germs that, sadly, can make us humans sick. We work 24-7, across many channels to connect with people, providing information and resources, so you are equipped to make decisions that can keep you and your families healthy.
