We were thinking about it, but my husband also wants to see how long we can get them to last. They're already pretty big, we've had them a little over 2 months, but I think we might kill and cook them, but I don't know how to go about that.

I second the neosporin if anything is raw or extremely dry. I wouldn't put anything to cover it, just let it air dry, and the scrambled eggs for more protein a few times a week. The ones opposed to the use of Blue-Kote cite that it contains carcinogens, and lifetime withdrawal from the meat, meaning you could never eat that one. This is just the two things I've picked up from reading posts about using it, yet I've got a bottle of it. We used it after taking care of a rooster's spurs.

Here's our Meat Bird forum. You can read or just post your questions in there. For culling and cleaning, we watched a YouTube video how to do it. The one we watched was great, as I'm sure most are, but we looked at each other and said, "Nah." :)

A lot of people use diapers, so I'm sure it'll be fine. In a pinch...

This picture with the surgical face mask it probably whould have whole lot cheaper than getting the chicken diapers but whatever they come tomorrow, so my chickens will be able to roam free in my house and I'm glad that my cats and my dogs get along with them beause we already let her be in the house for a second only in the kitchen to see if they would get along and they do yay🥰

The ones you bought are most likely way better than a face mask, as in more absorbent and hold more. I'd think the face masks would have to be changed quite often, whereas the diapers meant for them probably not quite so often.
