Hello!

hi!!! welcome to BYC!!!
So glad to have you here!!!!
Your pretty girl is a New Hampshire Red!
I love NHRs, they are one of my absolute favorites! Their eggs are such a pretty cream color!

That comb looks like what you see on a lot of Easter eggers -- there is a pea comb gene present but it is mixed. I'd guess "production red" or hatchery quality buckeye presuming brown eggs. If she hasn't laid for you yet and you get a blue or green egg one day, I'd change my vote to EE.
She lays brown eggs!

Are they typically pretty quiet birds and friendly? Looking to add a few more ladies this year but we need them to be sweet and quiet haha

Yes! absolutely!
They are so fun, and sweet.
Next time im on byc on my phone, ill post a pic of my sweetest NHR gal.
I havn't found anything wrong with this breed yet...
They are all good so far.
Sometimes they go broody, but really aren't too hard to break.
All pluses! LOL

I have read good things about them, we really like the red color too, and I think ours would be friendlier if we had raised her from a chick! She’s not unfriendly just very scared.
