Hi! My name is Jessica, I am in southern New Jersey with 1 husband, 1 basset hound, 3 horses and 16 cats and I have gotten my first chicks ever!
I got them on monday, (I think they were born saturday) and I am a nervous wreck!! They are living in a large guinea pig cage with pine shavings and a red heat lamp, They have lots of food and water, and seem to be doing great so far. They keep jumping up so they can see out, is it okay to make them a little wooden ramp, so they can walk up and look around? I have been handling them several times a day, and some of them actually run over to see me when I come in the room. They just ssem like they might be a little bored. Any thoughts?

You might put some little sticks in there for them to roost on. Sounds like your doing great so far. So how many of the 16 cats are sitting at the edge of the chicks cage

watching and waiting for an opportunity to pounce?
