I just wanted to introduce myself.
I am land and poultry farmer.
I decided to get into poultry when I quit my job to stay home and homeschool my children.
It was a school project. I got cornish X chicks. At the time I didn't know a thing about chickens. LOL. Thankfully there are site on the internet to learn from like this one .
)
I've been a member of this site for a little. I've enjoyed reading many of your stories I've shared a lot of laughs with a lot of different people even though you may have not noticed because I am quite the silent reader type.
However to make a long store short. I personally fell in love with Black jersey giants and the Egyptian fowl.
My daughter decided to raise silkies. My son loves the Japanese chickens.
We still raise cornishes for us to eat. However the other breeds of birds are just for alittle hobby.
My husband has been a farmer in our area for over 30 years. We are well known in our community and as far as I can tell we are well liked . We have many great friends here.
Well I don't want to take up to much of your time .
