Hello. How many chickens are too many? I have 12 chicken, to into a large yard to go however, if I receive more. Or are too many? I am Alan.

While I might be prone to agree that you can never had enough chickens, you will need to take into consideration the weather (for insulation purposes), coop size, run size, how easily accessible they are for cleaning, feeding, and watering, how much time you wish to invest, if you're going to free-range them, etc. Also, how big is your family? How many eggs would you personally consume? What are you going to do with the excess eggs? Are you planning to process some of your chickens for freezer camp? All that can play an integral part in your decision as to how many chickens are "too many" for you!
 
I was in the process dividing yard into a part for 12 wyandottes. Have then four small baskets for pumkin gamefowl. Or should I sell and get welsummers receive the money pumkin chickens?
