My husband and I moved from a busy life to a nice peaceful life in the country (sometimes busy, just different). We decided to get a few chickens to enjoy and have fresh eggs. We could not make up our minds on which breed to buy so we bought a variety with the help of our first grandchild. We now have forty girls and love them all. People say we have forty pet chickens, we agree. They are all happy California girls, love to get out in the garden with us and just "hang out" around the property. I think we have become addicted. I have search many topics and have view much needed information from BackYardChickens, thank you to all of you who post such great information. We will be talking with you soon.
