I am a mother of 3 children and living in Zebulon, NC. I got chickens back in June of this year. My children and I love them. I have 2 Black Cochin bantams ( 1 rooster, 1 pullet). I also have 2 Americana's, 1 Silver Lace Wyndotte. I have them separated by chicken wire so the other hens can see them. My Cochins has started to lay eggs. We want her to hatch them herself. Wow this is so neat going out there everyday and seeing a new egg. I cannot wait to hear all the neat stuff on Backyard Chickens..
