We are just starting our first coop.

our male half grew up with chickens although never really kept to a single breed or cared about anything of the sort, our plan now is to have one breed and try to introduce roosters every few years to keep our stock strong, for meat birds and eggs both. our plan is to raise chantecler of some type or other.

i need to insulate the floor, finish some roosts, a watering system and the run! but once thats done..yes it will be terrific! hehe i was hoping to have chickens by now! and the door is also getting a detail of a hen/rooster in a very bright orange so it stands out. need to work at these things!
