Hello everyone,

My name is Stephanie and I am a chicken newbie from Iowa. My family just got a few chicks this past spring to start us off and are looking forward to expanding our flock next year. Right now we have 2 black sex link hen (about 7 mos old), and will hopefully maintain a flock of about 6. We live in town so our permit will only allow up to 6 hens and no roosters. Right now we are just enjoying our hens and looking to learn as much as we can so we are prepared for the winter to set in. Any advice would be great, I can't wait to meets you!

I'm sure your chooks will be fine in the winter - when they're full grown they're well equipped to handle cold temperatures. I've seen photos of people's chickens enjoying themselves in snow...
