I live in michigan. This winter has been brutal. We currently have 2 hens. How do we keep their water from freezing?

I use the heated dog dishes too. They do very well in the freezing cold and keep the birds water from freezing. However, ALWAYS set them on concrete blocks or bricks. Never put them on the floor or bedding in the coop as they can start fires. But up on bricks or blocks, and they do just fine.
