hi, I'm a free range chicken enthusiast, I have 18 chucks and one cockerel, most of them are rescue, they range in breed from Orpington, welsummer, wyndotte and pekin bantam, also some ex batts. as I have now acquired the cockerel and two pekin bantams that I rescued from a local who was keeping them in shocking conditions, I was considering hatching some of their eggs, as they are so cute. I have purchased a small incubator and would appreciate any advice as to how to go about it. I have previously hatched some eggs as my Orpington Dolly was very broody and had the welsummer and wyndottes from her, she was a fantastic mum to them, but she is quite old now and very spoiled so don't want to put her through the raising of more chicks. I also have some ducks and a couple of turkeys, pets of course!!
well, hello from wales uk, and I look forward to mixing with you all :)
