Hello I'm new to BYC.
Just call me Chicky.
I love chickens, I've had chickens since I was 12, and I've loved them ever since.(I'm 21 now)
I love many other animals too.
But this is about the Chickens.
At the moment we have 4 Easter eggers, and 2 silkie/frizzle crosses.
But previously we had,
1 Delaware Rooster
1 Cornish Rooster
3 or 4 barred rock hens
12 white leghorns + the 3 roosters we went through
50+ Broilers
4 turkeys
1 duck pair
1 goose pair
2 female ducks (mallards)
Delaware and Cornish we found new homes for.
The rest we had years ago, and the broilers... well you know what happened there. (uncle bought them we took care of them.)
The turkeys and water foul went to a breeder when we had health issues in the home.
Except my two lady ducks whom I also love very much. My father got them for me as a present.
I frequent the local animal swaps when they come around. I love seeing all the kinds of animals people have.
I'm not sure what else to put. I came here looking for help.
