Living in south side Virginia. We have 6 hens and one rooster. They are 6 1/2 months old and are very entertaining. My grandsons are helping to care for them. We are just beginning to gather eggs. I think maybe two are laying now. I am a novice and we are learning together. Looking forward to learning more!

On a side note Mr. p. Rooster crows to the tune of the odd couple theme song.

When I was a kid we had a Java Temple Bird and it used to sing along with Elvis and the vacuum cleaner- no accounting for taste there.
