Hi everyone,
I have buff orpingtons, I live in Michigan. I have referenced BYC many times for wisdom and advice and decided to join. I've gone from 17 to 23 chickens down to 14 and 14 feels odd. I count several times at night because it seems like there's 5 of course that's an exaggeration:) but happy to have a link to ask my own questions now.

I can imagine having a smaller flock feels weird. There is so much more life in the coop with larger amounts of birds.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Buff Orpingtons are wonderful birds. I raised them for years (still have some in my flock) and they are hardy, friendly and gentle, and good layers of large, brown eggs. My children, and now my granddaughter, made lap pets of ours.
