My name is Ariel and I took over the care of my nanny's chickens when she passed away in April. She never got to see the coop my dad built for her and the chickens were not even old enough to start laying. I know a few things about chickens but I was a child the last time my nanny had chickens. I hope to learn more and any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I'm sorry your Nanny passed away. My father passed away this past October, so I know how sad it is to lose a loved one. A good place to start learning to care for chickens is to visit our Learning Center, particularly the section on Getting Started Raising Chickens at https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/getting-started-raising-chickens. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. What kind of chickens do you have?
