hello there new to the site and just thought I'd introduce myself! I have had chooks free ranging in my garden for about 8 years now mostly ex batts my biggest flock was 8 but now I only have three!
A black rock a light sussex and a little brown Heinz 57 variety! i have been a bit of a lurker but decided to take the plunge! I have a problem that I wondered if anyone could help with as I'm a bit lost!
My little red chook whom I've had for about two months ( she came from an wildlife park and a large flock) I realised she had scaly leg mite quite badly when she arrived so I've treated her and my other girls, totally disinfected their house but now she seems to be moulting again which is weird as we are in Scotland and its freezing and she sounds hoarse ( i do know shes a chicken!) otherwise she seems ok eating fine and I have been giving her Verm - X to try and sort her out , her comb is red and upright but I worry I'm missing something as she looks pathetic! At the moment her eyes are clear but she now appears to have diahorrea!
Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance for your help!!
