My name is Olivia, I currently only have one female Muscovy Duck, possibly laying viable eggs, but I'm not sure. Ive always loved birds and i'mnew to raising water fowl but im eager to learn. I live in Ontario and am excited to join. I only got my duck about two weeks ago!

Was your duck with a drake before you got it? I believe drake sperm can stay in the hen and fertilize the eggs for several weeks after mating. If you crack the eggs and see a bullseye around the little white dot in the center of the yolk, then it is fertile.

yes she was with him. I suppose I just have to be patient and wait to candle them in a few days right? I don't want to crack it open if it is fertile.
