We are about four years into having chickens

We have nine chickens

We have golden comets, black sex-links, a blue andalusian, an easter egger and a leghorn
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
we love the eggs of course, but have come to love interacting with them and watching them stay busy
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, reading, travel
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have two rabbits, three dogs and three cats in addition to the egg layers
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?

We're so glad to have you here for starters, and real happy you found BYC. You couldn't have picked a better, more helpful place in my opinion. Folks are quick to respond and offer tips and advice based on their experiences- I've saved a few birds by finding info here in past forum topics or by asking myself. You have an awesome assortment of breeds!

You mentioned enjoying gardening and having rabbits = perfect! BYC has a few sister sites you should check out in that case:
