Well gosh, where to begin? So much has happened since last July when I was last on - came back from vacation at the beach and 2 days later, DH lost his job. And so began the nightmare of the past 7 months. Did manage to save our home, but only by the grace of God and the skin of our teeth, and that was just done last week, so - we're okay there. DH just received his first job offer in 7 months, not for lack of applying everywhere and anywhere, and it only pays 1/3 of what he was making, but its a job and it has benefits, so - we're happy for that much. More importantly, we will be able to pay the bills - no extra money left over, but being frugal is the name of the game. We shall see how it all plays out once all the paperwork is done as nothing is final yet, just tenative based upon background check, but it looks really good, thankfully.
Never thought in a million years any of this would happen - you go from being on the top, thinking everything is fine, to having your entire world crash in around you and not knowing what way to turn or which way is up. Stress is unbelievable, and there were times we certainly did not think we'd see the light at the end of the long dark tunnel. Thank the Lord for friends to lean upon, vent to, and cry with - as well as family - and I thank God that our marriage was and is as strong as it is, we had a great foundation, but there were times when we thought the cracks would become too much to bear, even standing together. However, we weathered it all - and have come out with cuts and bruises, but stronger because of it.
I've missed being here - I've missed chatting with you all, and have thought about you as the months have gone by. I pray each of you are good and doing well. I'll try to come on more often as time allows, but things are just starting to get back to what I would even consider "normal" for once and we still have a long road ahead of us. The battle may be over, but the war still needs to be won
Hugs to all - and especially to Linda (EC) my dearest friend.... xoxoxo to you honey.
Deb
PS. Yes I still have all my girlies.. they're laying like crazy and loving being spoiled! Had to dig them out of 26 inches of snow quite a few times here in VA this winter season, but they're doing great and enjoying the warmer weather.
