I need to got to bed now. You can do this. Remember, this duckling would have died a slow and painful death a long time ago if it weren't for you. You're doing awesome. Good night.![]()

Some gooey stuff got so hard so I donāt know if he can get out...Dry on his eye and behind him And front wing is crusty...Looks to me like you have enough shell off he can push himself right out. Which is best he do.
. I would give him a half hour to come out on his own. (Half an hour from when that shell was opened that far.) If he doesnt, he may be too weak, and i would gently guide his head free. Then let him rest with his head free for 30 minutes and assess if his yolk is absorbed.Heās very dry and keep cleaning him with Coconut oil and water for four hours.Anybody have any idea if heās already drink is heās yolk?
I donāt see him yawning anymore but heās making this clicking sound and because gooey stuff I donāt know if heās able to get out... I would give him a half hour to come out on his own. So.e may disagree, but i sometime give sugar water to struggling chicks for an energy boost. Just make sure not to aspirate. Small little dab at the corners of his beak dont allow into nostrils.
Is he making any noise? Is he still yawning or making chewing motion with his beak?
I would pull his head out by gently coaxing it now honestly.I donāt see him yawning anymore but heās making this clicking sound and because gooey stuff I donāt know if heās able to get out..
Im not sure if its clear, but just get it so hea can stretch his neck, but make sure the rest of him stays in the shell at first. If you see yolk or blood after stretching the head, then take other measures to make it hard for him to kick out prematurelyI would pull his head out by gently coaxing it now honestly.
Every chick ive had make clicking noises has passed without intervention in stretching their necks. I may be wrong, but i feel like its because they are struggling to breathe in the crunched position.
If you see bleeding, or yolk, dont pull him out, and put him in a small bowl or cup to confine him u til he absorbs it all
