Oh, you're not supposed to mist until lockdown has started usually. It's fine, don't worry about it. Start misting. I guess just put in a tiny hole. It has to be in the air cell. Get a pin and scratch a tiny x on the air cell. Once you get a tiny hole, put it back. Take the washcloth out if it causes the temp to spike. Make sure the hoke is tiny. Air will get through. If it's too big the duckling will dry out.

I made tiny hole took out wet towel from underneath Heating pad and put it back dish with water...Maybe I’m gonna put some sponge in the dish...What I should expect now? Bdw thank you so much for taking your time because I’m about to have a nervous break down Not sleeping or leaving the house for two days..

Don't mist it inside the hole, just on the egg.

Just use a clean needle. You don't have to disinfect it.

Maybe just mist it often. If putting a bowl under the pad makes the temp go up just don't do it. Just wait for an external pip. This didn't post earlier, sorry.

Probably. Don't worry too much. Ducklings are very strong, and good efficient hatchers. Do you have any idea what day he's on?

when I incubated my muscovy's eggs they pipped externally and waited 2 days before fully hatching. They pipped on day 33 and hatched late day 35 maybe they just take their sweet time.
