I have a recently purchased one month old chick who is acting very listless. Stands huddled with eyes shut. This has been going on for about 2 days. I moved it this morning to a dog kennel to separate it from the rest of the flock and put a lamp on him. He has since laid down under the lamp with eyes shut. I put some poultry electrolytes in his water, but it looked old. It is about 2 years old and stored in the basement. Does that stuff go bad? I could see the glucose not holding up but there are vitamins in it too. Would some sugar in the water do a better job?
