Another thing i learned yesterday and confirmed today.
Chicks DO NOT like direct sunlight. i took them out for their first field trip yesterday. i figured warm was good since there was a light breeze so i took them out around 13:00. whoops. i about scared them to death. it was total mayhem and panic. i quickly packed them up and brought them back in where it took them several minutes to come down from that.
this afternoon i tried again. this time i waited till 16:00 when there spot was totally shady but still warm. happiest chicks ever.
