I put the chick starter in a blender and ground it into powder and I gave it to Doris until she got stronger and I gradually made it coarser until now she is eating regular chick starter. For the first couple of weeks I would have to dip her beak into the water several times a day. I used vitamins and electrolykes in the water. She is about 1/4 the size of the chick that hatched the same day. Of course I hatched them out so they never knew a mom. She is a happy chick as long as Buddy is with her.
