yeah, so 1 day later i injure 2.... i guess that is why i feel so bad. could anyone help on how i would go about finding and fixing the broken toe? and do sprains normally swell up and not broken bones?

Can you post some photos of the feet?
Normally you can tell if a toe is broken, it will look crooked.

Both can swell.
Go to the search icon and type in splinting broken toe
I’m sure you’ll get a ton of hits.
I’ve seen people make like a little cardboard “shoe” for under the foot and the tape wraps around it.

ill go get the best pic i can, i do not see a crooked toe, maybe she is just slightly injured? or maybe i need to look somewhere else?

We've all made mistakes with our chickies and felt bad afterwords, so don't feel too bad!

As others have said, maybe splint it and just give them some love and rest. Chickens are very tough animals (from my experience). Make sure they're eating and drinking enough too.

Limping can be from a number of things. Give them some time, but photos of the swelling(s) or a video of how they walk would be good

the swelling in the one that was under the wire (Oakley) has gone down, i was already getting a video because the pics show nothing.

maybe i should show you my coop, they are not nest boxes yet, they are just a higher place in the coop.

i am sorry, i just didn't know what else to call it. some do sleep o the perch, but they are only 3-4 weeks old and the perch is a big jump!
