I have chicks that are about 2 months old, one of them came to me with splayed leg. At the time she could stand, but she could not really walk, she was fall with every step. We have had her a couple weeks (shes in a brooding box with pine bedding) and she has since lost the ability to stand.
I am not positive it is splayed leg, one leg seems to be stronger than the other and when I was holding her and moving her legs I felt a distinct popping noise when the legs were moved as if she was walking.
Has anyone ever dealt with this or know how to heal this chick? Your help is greatly appreciated.
