help 2 week polish

Oh no......

I'm sorry.

I lost 2 last night myself. For no apparent reason. I just found them dead.
But I hatched 5 or 6 all day.
With 130 chicks in 4 brooders currently, I change water constantly, and I look often for pasty butt, washing their butt, and I look for dead ones.
Mine are on ACV water and medicated starter.
And heat lamps.
During the day, I open up the brooders to give them less heat and more air. But not drafts.
I think we do all we can to raise healthy chicks.

Chicks sometimes just die and we never can know why..

I flush most chicks. Or you could bury her. Make a little cross to place over her.

It is always sad to see a chick dead.

The more chicks you raise, the more that you will see die over time.

We have a really good survival rate here with daily care, but we do see some dead in the brooders.
So forgive yourself and remember your love that you gave that baby.

Thank you, we chose to bury chirpy, as I have a 2 year old and wanted her to learn from it, I don't think flushing it or throwing it in the bin would of taught her about respect for living things, so we had a little burial today

That is very respectful.
I have a "Sad Hill" here.
That I bury my pets on.
I make a cross for my special pets with their name on it.
Every time I walk by, I remember my beloved that rest here.
I wish I could rest on Sad Hill when my time comes.
