I have an egg that pipped yesterday at 9 am, it is making progress but its breathing is slowing and it looks stuck. I can't seem to get humidity above 69%. I have sponges and a rag in the incubator. I have four that have pipped and hatched in this time frame that are roaming the insides of the incubator. I have two more eggs that have pipped and aren't doing anything. I have 12 more eggs that when candled on the 12th day showed movement and veins but they haven't pipped or done anything yet. My questions are:
1. Do I worry about the chick that pipped yesterday morning and try to help him along? Or will I sacrafice the other two by opening the incubator?
2. How long do I wait for the eggs that haven't pipped? Is it too late for those eggs or is there still the chance that they could pip and hatch chicks?
I'm sorry for all the info! This is my second hatch and my first hatch didn't go well and this one isn't going any better! I'm starting to feel like I'm not cut out for this as it is stressing me out that I am making the wrong decisions for these baby chicks.
Thank you for any insight you can offer!
