Help! 2day old silkie w/pasty -not resolving!

One of my silkies had pasty butt this am when I checked on them - I think I got all the poop off - I had to actually soak her little butt in some warm water- She has passed a tiny bit of white poop(just poked out), but it still looks like she's straining to poop. The vent looks cleaned off, but it seems to be protruding a bit when she strains. And now her whole bottom half is wet/damp(from the water), and a couple others are pecking at her a bit. What else can I do? What could this be? A prolapse of some sort? Help!

If they are really pecking at her (to the point of injuring her) you might want to separate her for a few days. The straining might just be because of irritation. As long as she's eating etc I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Thank you- it seemed they were just pecking a bit when she was wet. I checked on her before leaving for work, and they were all snoozing. I'm going home midday to check on them all again.
