Sometimes they just don;t survive. I know you wanted to do the best for her. You did well.
Seriously though Vets can cost a great deal of money and if you want to make money on Hens you simply cannot afford to go to the vet with every bird with a problem.
I know this cause I started out taking my hens to the vet often. In the end I had to stand back and realize it wasn;t cost effective and a brand new hen was better value.
Your Mum and Dad are right on that. Thay do care they just know that often THE COST OF A GOOD VET COULD BUY YOU 3 OR 4 HEALTHY HENS!
