Help! 6 week old chick ran away!

I have a ckicken that is about 6 weeks old and today while getting some outside time while I cleaned her box she ran into a large bush and we havent seen her since! My kids are worried sick and I don't know what to do to make her come home! I set out some food and water hoping she would come home at dusk but her it is dark and she hasnt come home! What should I do?

So sorry, Now that it's dark it is probably hunkered down for the night. Start searching at first light, and hopefully you will find it. Good luck

We just found her!!!! I am so relieved! I felt like a bad "mom"! She must have had such an adventure last night!

Maybe you should fence them in until they know where home is. Or did she just escape?
