Help!!! A coyote attacked my chickens!!!

We already have him separated with the other injured chickens. I wish I could wrap it, but I can’t figure out where on the leg the injury is.

Feel around. If he attacks you when you feel a certain spot that’s where it hurts. You could wrap both legs to be on the safe side. Or take him to the vet.

My hen broke her leg and we took her to a vet. They wrapped her leg and she improved!

I know which leg it is, and he doesn’t react more than trying to pull his leg away when I move it. Thanks for your advice!!!

If it’s broken, he won’t survive. If it’s sprained then keep him in your sight Andy in an inclosed space where he can’t go anywhere. Make sure to wrap it.

Chickens can survive broken limbs. I have a pullet that had broken her leg. Took a long time to heal but she's doing great now.

My lock is similar to this now.

As others have suggested, lock your coops if at all possible. Of course, someone with wire cutters can always cut through the fencing and accomplish the same thing in letting your chickens loose.

I hope that doesn’t happen!!! If so, I’ll get more serious. I’m debating electric fencing.
