I am glued to this egg! Not much change but if i put my finger on it i can feel it moving and occasionally hear a peep. The watched pot never boils, the watched phone never rings, the watched egg..........

Don't open the container to feel the egg, it needs to have good humidity or the chick will get shrink wrapped in the shell. leave the top on with a little crack for ventilation.

11 hours in and here is the progress. Lots of peeping and it seems to be working on it. There appears to be some blood. Is that normal?

I must say I am fascinated! It looks like it is pecking a complete circle around the bottom of the egg. I am forcing my self not to help. Should I boil water or something?

I'm going to have the same issue. I'm using a fish tank for all 6 in a day or two when the first one hatches. I can get the tank up to 98 degrees and 70-80% humidity, which I can adjust the humidity. I was using my big weather station, but I bought a new one that was shipped yesterday. I also bought another heating pad in case this one dies or I need extra heat. Here is my emergency set up. I have eggs 5 days behind the first and I hope to hatch them all!

I can move the water over the heating pad for more humidity. I did a test run and hopefully this works!

I like your idea better. I just found a rubbermaid and now I'm testing it out for humidity and temp. Thank you for posting this!
