HELP! ACCIDENTAL EGG EATERS!

Just to be on the safe side get some artificial eggs and put one in each nest. They learn the is nothing in them to eat and stopped for me. hope you do not have anymore problem with this.

I already had/have ceramic eggs in all 3 nest boxes.

I really do think you're ok, your girls just got some magic floor food no idea what it was or where it came from they only know it was good.

My chickens only eat eggs when they break. If they don't break they don't eat them.

You can also make a mustard egg. You make a pinhole in each end of the egg. Then, you make one hole slightly bigger than the other and take a coffee straw and mix the yolk and white up and blow out the contents. You then rinse the egg out and use a syringe and put mustard in it. When the hen opens the egg and tastes the mustard she won't like it. You might have to do this a couple times but they will leave the eggs alone after.
