To make a long story short. My peacock dislocated his (I call it hip last winter) I have seen an avian vet and she has done as much as she can. At this point it has been about 3 1/2 months since the injury. He does get up on his roost at night (about 12 feet off the ground), he eats, he does not seem to be in pain and kind of limps along on the leg but it is kind of twisted and his foot does not seem to operate correctly. Does anyone know of a way to brace the leg or foot to help him to walk a little more correctly? I am really hoping for some possibility. I can't bring myself to have him put to sleep but I also have to think about his quality of life. Every time I look at him trying to get around I feel terrible.
