Help all my BR's look like Roos! Img Heavy

Quote:
The one I know is a roo for sure is a lot lighter than these as well. You can see him here https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=63422
his
comb is a lot redder now than just a few days ago when the photo was taken.

It would be nice to have 5 pullets and 1 roo out of the 6 straight run BRs I picked out of the bunch. I think that is wishful thinking though.

Warmly,

I have one the same age and it only has about half the feathers as yours

Ok I keep telling myself not to freak out because if mine are all roos it doesn't mean the world will fall off it's axess but please people go look and tell me what you all think. I can feel this anxiety attack welling up in me and really it doesn't make a difference because if they're roos they're roos right?

I'd appreciate it anyway if you could all go take a peek though I just reposted here from another thread. I'm thinking I have just 1 Pullet from in the black austrolorps, but the rest look like roos to me and other newbies thought so too.

Thanks kids.

They all look like pullets to me. Very similar to how my girls looked at 6 weeks. My BR roo had a lot more barring (white) then yours do.

Give it a week, if you have any roos they should start crowing. Mine did at just over 7 weeks.

Be happy about the number you have. I picked 3 BRs out of the pullet bin and got 2 pullets and a roo!

BR are the hardest for me to sex. I always have to wait until they develope saddle feathers growing behind the tail but I have read that BR pullets are darker than the roosters if this is true you have pullets.
