Hi my hens are weezing and foaming at the eyes and deep gurgling is in there chest you can here them breathing when your not even close to them! Please if you could tell me what it could be and maybe suggest a surten cure/med I can use. Thank You!

It sounds like coryza or mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG.) Culling sick birds is the best way to rid this from your flock, but if you choose to treat with an antibiotic such as Tylan 50 injections or one of the others, then you should close your flock, and not give away or sell birds or hatching eggs. Have you brought in new birds recently that could have carried the disease? Any birds around these chickens will become lifelong carriers. Here is some info on the diseases: http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/ps044

My chickens were fine until I bought 14 hens from this one guy they could have spread it.
And culling means killing right?
Also so all of my birds will forever carry this?

Yes, unfortunately, to both questions. Your hens may not all die from this, but you will be seeing sickness again and again whenever they are stressed, and they will need antibiotics such as Tylan, Denagard, or sulfa meds depending on which disease it is. Shipping or bringing a refrigerated (not frozen) body to your state vet for a necropsy would get you an answer on which disease it is. If birds are culled, and the coop is disinfected and cleaned, then most of these diseases are gone within days. Wait several weeks to get new birds. Sorry that this is happening. Here is a link for you about contacting them: http://www.aphis.usda.gov/animal_health/animal_dis_spec/poultry/states/virginia.pdf

Hi, I just called my local vet that handles birds she said she can come over tomarow at 1pm for $55 and check them out. This was the best thing I could come up with to do. So I'll let you know.

Hi, The vet came over she asked me like 100 questjuns or more to find out all she could. She pointed out the medal waterer she said remove that the medal can releales led with can make them sick then she pointed out that I said the newest memeber of the flock was a new one year old rooster that belonged to a stranger before me she said he could have spread something to my girls and she pointed out how I said I had 17 hens and I got 10 eggs per day and said that's not normal and she pointed how that I was feeding them cracked corn she said only a cup of cracked corn more mash less corn and she also checked them out they were skiny and had gunk in there nose and throat and was not breathing right. So she gave me the med Tylon Powder to put in there water and to not eat the eggs for at least 13 days after giving it to them also she said that would help the more comen things but if that doesn't help she'll come back and give something else for the more rarer things.

Metal waterers are fine if they are not rusted. Vinegar should not be used in them because it will rust them (don't ask me how I know that.) Just want to remind you that you shouldn't give away any birds or hatching eggs from this flock. Sounds like your vet will help you treat them, and she didn't charge that much.
