Do you have more photos of your girls? i see males 3? and one female i the above photoSince I have 1 male and 3 females does it matter at all if I let 2 females out at a time or should I let the male out with a female all the time and alternate the females that way? I've always only had hens as well no roosters so I have very little experience with male birds at the moment.
Do you really think that there are 3 males?? I know I have 1 for sure but please take a look at a couple more pics and let me know what you think I have for males and females please! Having a little trouble with the pics but I'm working on getting them up here.Do you have more photos of your girls? i see males 3? and one female i the above photo![]()

I'm working on getting a couple more pics to upload now.Looking at your avatar photo, there appears to be 3 Peas in it and I would say 2 look female and 1 looks male, can't find a 4th unless that's it's tail that is barely visible.
So if I end up having more then 1 male is it likely they will be aggressive during the mating season? Should I have at least 1 female per male? What are the chances of a peahens eggs actually being fertilized? I really don't want 500 peafowl running around because it would be too hard for me to part with them.....just the way I am.
When free ranged here my mature males will fight during breeding season no mater how many hens I have, my oldest male claimed every breeding hen on my place or they claimed him for the last two years and when there was a lul in the season he went to fighting any male that looked at his ladies walking by , i do not know what will happen next year i will have over 20 hens laying so another male is gonna have to get these girls attention so they do not over work my Master PSo if I end up having more then 1 male is it likely they will be aggressive during the mating season? That face just melts my heart so precious! I love watching them grow up it's just like raising children for me. I have 2 children, Blake he's 3 and Jace he's 18 months and 2 English Bull dogs Lola and Tank and 3 cats Monty, Sophie and Betty and of course my peas and chickens and yes they all have names! oh and a husband lol. I don't care how many hours I need to spend outside in the cold and dead of winter, pouring rain, or sweltering heat to make sure everyone is 100% comfortable and content because that's my job and they are all my babies. That's why as much as I know I have to collect the eggs like you suggested I swear I wouldn't be able to part with them. What have I gotten myself into!!! ahhhh!Probably won't be a concern next year, they are still young. After that if you have more that 1 boy, they will likely spar a little to establish who is dominant. The winner will probably be the only one to breed, and if your birds are happy and healthy the likelihood of fertile eggs is very high. My fertility rate is generally 95%, this past year was lower, but this past year was off in many ways I think. Your best bet if you do not want a bunch of little ones would be to collect the eggs before the hens can begin sitting on them. I understand exactly how you feel, that is why I now have 38 of them.
