Help ASAP! Cracked egg at week 2 incubation.

Went to lock my ducks in for the night and candled egg #9 and it has a crack, a good size crack. But not through the membrane. I read to put wax over the crack and that should help? I'm pretty sure I saw the duck move, so I think it's still alive. Any help???

Never tried it, but I have also heard clear nail polish.

We just had the same thing happen with chicken eggs at day 10. My husband lit a plain tapered candle & let the wax drip on the crack while I spread it over the worst part. That was 3 days ago & the baby is still bouncing around! Good luck!
