My bantam is one week old today and is not doing well! She is just laying down having trouble breathing a little. Does she have water in her lungs?

Is is under heat? Is the vent pasted? Does it have electrolytes in it's water?

There will always be some sickly chicks. Keeping them warm and offering electrolytes in their drinking water is all you can do for them. Mortality of 3-4% should always be expected with young chicks. Either it will survive or it will not.

First week is the hardest it seems. Does she have the proper 95 degree warm area and a cooler area? Might try some sav-a-chick if everything else seems correct.
