If there was no plastic missing yesterday when you went to look then it was most likely not a plastic issue and possibly a reproductive issue since you have mentioned the egg issue and staying up with her last night wouldn't have made a difference.
I am sorry for your loss. :hugs

There was no check on the plastic done, it was from what I understand just pushed back over the rabbit hutches...

We only know what we’re told , but as a person who wraps the run in poly each year this made me concerned

I have no clue what “ not much “means”

This is what I read ...

Do you have ducks ]@KikisGirls??
@casportpony??

I’ve had mine a few months and if they can rip plastic they can swallow it too.

I’m just trying to learn

@casportpony Can ducks rip and swallow plastic ?

Should precautions be taken when wrapping a run in poly ? I just don’t know with their round beaks what they’re capable of doing....

They were pulling at it for sure. I think it will depend on the area you put it on. On the actual run they did not rip it at all.

On the rabbit hutches they pulled at it because it was not easy access.

I can not say for sure any was eaten but it was pulled out of the tighter area. I was fixing up the whole run so I had stuff everywhere that I was picking up from the mess I made and that included any plastic pieces I dropped or the wind blew.

I just know they were very interested in it.

Thank you @llombardo for explaining so we can all learn. I’m new to ducks , chickens are very different.

As I said with my chickens and styrofoam , accidents can happen , we are all human after all ❤️

Yes, they can rip and swallow it.

If you notice that they are ingesting things like this, then yes, figure out how to keep them from doing this.
