help! attack hen!!!

We have two one year old banty hens. We just got two new pullets--one is 3 months, one is 4 weeks. They've been hanging out together. All was fine until this evening when one of our banty hens started attacking the 3 month old pullet. She's acting like a roo, although I know she's not. What should I do? Should I separate the evil attack hen or let them work it out?

Your hen is just showing the new comers who is the BOSS. As a rule they will work it out in a few days.

in this case, they never really worked it out. We had to find a new home for the pullet (now a hen) that was being picked on. The others plucked all the feathers off her head and left her bald. She would hide in the food pail to get away from them. She went to a good home though with other cochin banty hens.
