The day before yesterday someone contacted me and said that someone gave them a 1-2 day old baby chick but because they have no brooder and a lot of dogs and cats they asked me if I wil take care of the chick till it is a little bit older. Last night I got the chick and first thing I noticed is that it almost seems like it is shaking. Now I first thought maybe it is cold but it has been in the brooder all night and is still shaking. I guess you can describe it like how it's body would look if it was hyperventilating. The body is shaking the butt is moving up and down a lot. But it only does this in short burts it's not constant. Could it be siezing.
Secondly both feet have curled toes and it is struggling to keep itself upright.
Thirdly it looks like it is struggling with bending it's head forward. The head stays upright not like wryneck where the neck saggs.
Any help is appreciated. Also thanks in advance.
