About yesterday, I noticed that one of our baby chicks wasn’t moving and was just laying under the heat lamp. When I picked it up, the chick started to cry/scream and lifted its foot to its body. Once I placed it by the water, he started to jug down water, so I assumed he wasn’t able to walk over to the water nor food for a few hours. Since then, I’ve placed him in a cardboard divider near the heat lamp, so he wouldn’t get trampled by the other chicks. Right now he’s just laying there barely eating and sometimes shakes and chirps. I’ve made sure he has water, food, and the correct temperature. I don’t know what to do from here, is his foot broken and will he die?

The poor guy was chirping a lot when I picked him up. Here’s the best photo I got.

Can it escape the heat?
What are you feeding them?
@Wyorp Rock
We have been monitoring the temperature and watching the baby chick to see if it gets too hot or too cold. Last time it got to hot, he was able to walk/crawl away. We have been feeding them “Start and Grow Medicated Crumbles”
