HELP baby chicks crop is huge and water comes back out when she drinks

You could try feeding her a small piece of bread soaked in oil, and keep gently massaging the crop frequently.

I am so sorry. My little Ginger passed away on Saturday due to this very thing - soft bubble and not able to keep anything down. When she passed, all sorts of green bile came up so I was then 100% sure it was her crop. I had no idea what it was till I started researching it. It was too late for Ginger. I was never able to correct the problem. I will keep good thoughts that you can help your little chick.

Oh and I wouldn't blame yourself over the shavings though because I did not use shavings and my little chick still had this problem. She was on a wire cage floor at the feed store when I bought and on paper towels at home with only chick starter. It is just one of those things that can go wrong for no apparent reason.
